Archiving and Digital Preservation Policy
Commitment to Excellence in Archiving and Preservation
At Unicorn Scientific Publishing LLC, we are deeply committed to the long-term preservation and permanent accessibility of all publications under our umbrella, including the World Journal of Experimental Biosciences (WJ Exp Biosci). Our dedication ensures that scholarly works remain accessible, transparent, and impactful for researchers worldwide.
1. PKP Preservation Network
WJ Exp Biosci participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a trusted and distributed archiving service. This network guarantees that published articles remain accessible even in the unlikely event that the journal website becomes unavailable or operations cease. You can verify our archival status here: PKP PN.
2. Internet Archive
To further strengthen digital preservation, all journal content is periodically archived through the Internet Archive (archive.org). This ensures an additional layer of long-term accessibility and continuity, supporting researchers’ ability to access past publications without interruption.
3. Daily Backup Policy
In collaboration with Hostinger, we maintain a robust daily backup system for the entire journal website, including all files and databases, retained for 30 days. This allows us to quickly restore any content in case of technical failure or unexpected incidents.
4. Offline Backup for Extra Security
As an extra precaution, we regularly download and securely store these backups in encrypted Google Drive accounts. This offline strategy guarantees the integrity and safety of our publications, even beyond the online environment.
Preservation Commitment
Through these combined measures—PKP PN, Internet Archive, daily backups, and offline storage—we ensure that all articles published in WJ Exp Biosci remain permanently accessible, supporting reproducibility, transparency, and uninterrupted scientific progress.
